Tools like meditation and yoga are versatile in that they can be applied in both the ordinary and extraordinary moments.

Meditation while washing dishes:

  • Shift your mind to your feet and be aware of them inside the shoes or slippers and there is floor and eventually earth below them. Connect down to earth.

  • Bring your mind to breath and feel inhales and exhales. Draw earth energy up your body to heart.

  • Be aware of hands in the soap water. Feel the temperature, and feel the sensation of the objects you touch as you wash them.

  • Place the objects in the drying rack with intention and gratitude for how they help you everyday.

Spring is peeking her head in to let us know that she is close by. With the light lengthening, winter is melting, and nature is blossoming.

We start to feel a bit more active too. Sometimes we go so far into activity mode that it starts to feel imbalanced. We start to wonder if we’re doing TOO much. But you know what? That’s ok.

It’s ok to do too much sometimes. Just like it’s ok to take a break and rest.

Sometimes we are ready, open, and energized for a flurry of activity, a lot manifesting at once, creativity and ideas flowing in rapidly, and saying yes to lots of invitations. The universe is as excited for you as you feel.

Work this into your meditation practice. Look towards your inner guide and listen to the answer when you ask, “is this in line with my intentions?” Practice gratitude and no guilt.

Fall is a season to get reconnected to body, mind, and community. Spend some time walking or hiking to feel your feet on the ground. Let inspiration and creativity guide you to try something new or rekindle a practice or interest you would like to bring back into your life. Schedule time for rejuvenation so that you have the energy to support your tribe.
